Default Snubby nose mod for 944 n/a

Anyone out there have a technical writeup for the snubby bumper front end on n/a 944?
I got into a bumper bender when I had the shortened front end, and when it came back from the shop, they had brought it back to stock spec. I am just wondering if this is a huge effort to shorten the bumper, or is it straightforward?

Small hole. I hear that the fluid really rockets out of there!

It doesnt rocket out that much.

But yes, drill a hole in the shock, have rags ready and a can or bottle to drain the fluid into.

I reinstalled the shocks on the car and reinstalled the bumper. Then I pushed the bumper in to where I wanted it. Make sure the shocks are equal length and tack weld them so they wont move.

Reinstall everything and you're done.

You may/will have to take the valence off to access the bolts for the bumper.

hmmm...^^^what they said for most of it...just be careful, because when i drilled mine (out of the car) they shot fluid 30 feet into the air (not exaggerating)

this may have been because they were slightly compressed already, which would increase pressure, but just be careful and watch your eyes!
