Got a 17 mm bolt, screwed on 2 17 mm nuts at the end and a good *zap* with a mig welder held them in place.

I tried the coupling nut, inferior metal and would have to gring it down to get it to fit.

PepBoys sells a 5-piece Allen Socket Set for about $9. Comes in real handy just in case you need to use a 1/2" drive breaking bar to get the Fill/Drain plugs to budge.
