Default Bleak Chance?

I was wondering if anyone on here would be willing to trade a beater (mechanically sound, but needs work) 951/s2 for my Great condition DD 944?

I can throw cash on top if the deal is right. I've just always wanted a 951 and would prefer not to take out a 6k loan to get one.

Just seeing if this has any hope, if not, i fully understand

A couple of pictures;

Odo stopped on previous owner. And he rarely drove it. so i would estimate around 70-75k miles.

The na looks pretty clean. I'm sure someone might be interested.

good looking car!

more pictures

do you have a good set of service records?

one thing i have learned here is these things speak loudly and could win the pocket book of the 951 owner your looking for.

Thanks guys!

She is super clean. I really just want something i can work on myself, and be proud of. I've got plenty of offers to trade for 240's with sr20det's, etc. But i really love 944's so i would much rather trade for a 951.

As for the service records, I have MINE. But not all of the previous owners, but i could request them no problem.

Updated Pictures.

I'm in FL too by the way. orange city to be specific.

Looking good! Just curious, are your phone dial wheels 16"?

Good luck with the trade!

Your logic seems skewed here...You are wanting to trade a good condition NA for a "beater" 951/S2 to try to save money?

The Beater 951/S2 will probably cost you more money in the long run.

If you want one, do it the right way and take your time to find a good example with clear history and good maintenance.

Maybe he just wants to stare at it while it sits in the garage

If you weren't in Florida I'd trade you my beater S2 so I could save money.

It's not about saving money, i just want something i can wrench on and enjoy fixing up, not just detail it every few weeks.

I love working on cars, it's just one of those things. I mean, i don't want a beat to hell 951 that needs new everything, just one in rough shape that i can fix up as i go.

Thomas, the phone dials are 16".

My advice...sell the 944 and buy a good condition 951. You could get taken advantage of by someone with a questionable 951 money pit.

the value of your car is that it has not been slammed, kidded, modified, and/or screwed up. If you want a 951 get out of your 944 before you do anything stupid to it. and anything stupid means just about anything other than maintenance and a head unit with the original radio in the hatch.

That's what i' trying to do. I want to get out of itwhile it still has it's value of originality.

I do have the original headunit aswell. And the cigarette lighter is in the ash tray, haha. I had a radar dector plugged up before i took these pics. But it's gone now. It gave me a reason to speed. now i don't.

But anyway, and takers? just looking for a running, and dd'able 951 in need of TLC.

become a rennlist member for $18, pick a price for the car, and post it in the members only FS section. You will get more exposure there, and you may get a bite. then get the 951 of your dreams.
