kla industries tow hook on n/a
i'm wondering how this tow hook would work on a n/a. would you have to fabricate solid bumper "shocks?" or would the shocks be strong enough hold the weight of the car while pulling? i've been looking into getting a tow hook for the inevitable tow truck ride home.

nick, go to home depot and get a truck tow ring. it's $15. get some matching 1/2" stove bolts (i think they're called. with a square base), nuts and washers. then use a steel backing plate, drill 2 holes matching the bolt holes on the toe. if u can't get plate, i got some extras
drill thru bumper with a unibit and bolt on.

Hello, First off neither one of those tow hooks are for towing a car very far, just off the track. No Tow Truck Driver worth his salt would use either one of them to tow a car on public roads. The aluminum bumper is not structured to tow from for any distance.

In a pinch, you can always use the snap ring that holds in your thermostat to tow your car. It has been often said that you can tow a car with that ring, and after having wrestled with one, I can believe it.
