Post Cam swap for 951

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site so please be patient. Anyway I'm thinking of replacing the cam in my 1986 951 ith the cam from the 1988 N/A model. I hear this greatly improves bottom end. Does anyone out there have any experience with this mod. Thanks

I did like the cam from the NA, I used in my turbo engine when I dynoed at 415HP and 520TQ to the rear tires. It was awsome quick on the response, vs the bigger cam which was crap. I **** canned that big cam in no time flat, on a turbo, in my opinion, I like quick response, low end torque, and HP at a usable space on the tach.

My car peaked its TQ at 3800 RPM, and the HP peaked at 415 around the same time and lasted till we pulled off about redline.

Just my real world, been there in person, done that opinion.

Here is alink to a site that has the dyno chart from my modded 951 showing the numbers.

This motor was completed to its final stages while I was still with Tim at SFR, and the car has since been sold to a person that is using it to drag race.
