Got her apart.. where did it pop?
Got it apart and I cannot see for the life of me where the gasket popped. The head did come off really easy and I mean too easy. Nuts off and I lifted it right off.

My first HG job it was obvious. The gasket looked like swiss cheese. Next one, not so much. Maybe something that just leaks when under pressure. I'd go with what Dan says. Throw a new one on there, slap everything on and have fun.

Maybe the head wasn't torqued down properly to begin with? Didn't you buy this one non-running from a guy who hadn't completed the work?
