Default Looking for the dash trim piece that holds the clock

Must be in good order, all tabs intact etc. Anyone have one they are willing to part with?

If you check in the Members For-Sale forum, Paddock Motorsports in Haverstraw, NY has been selling his remaining parts...he had several of them 2 weeks ago when I was there.

I saw that piece on Pelican Parts. It was only around $40.

How do you keep the tab near the AC controls from breaking??
I've had two and they both break right there. And you can't glue them.

Who says you can't glue them?

I think they break because someone tries to remove it without loosening the A/C panel first. The clock piece doesn't really like to slide sideways to release the tab, so they horse on it to get it out - hello broken tab.

Mine had a broken tab, and I needed to replace the clock backlight bulb anyway, so I removed the piece, ground it down with a Dremel, and used JB Weld to glue in a piece cut from the spine of a CD jewel case.

To ensure a good join, I drilled some holes through the repair piece and into the clock panel first, and packed the glue in. I used the same Dremel tool to grind it flat afterwards.

After I trimmed it to an appropriate length with a Dremel cut-off wheel, it went back in perfectly.

I have purchased two or three of these pieces used. They all break. I am **** about being careful taking them apart. They just broke over time. Purchased a new one from Ian (944online.com). Will see how that goes.

I don't see how they would just break without someone messing with them...

25 year old Porsche plastic - I would never buy one of these or the sunroof hinges or sunvisor hinges used. If they aren't broken already they will be soon! They just get brittle...
