Ditto what Tim, "I want some Tolulene too" said.

Anyone know what the "Canadian Version" of Tolulene is? Would it be paint thinner? Or Turpentine?

Rather than 'thicker' oil, I would add 'thinner' oil if you want more power. That's why the manufacturers use it(helps gas mileage).

what about my high rpm problem?i'm starting to whine...cmon.

The fuel filter is a good idea though, mine bogged a bit and a new fuel filter and some new injectors fixed that. Now it just bogges really hard if i floor it at high rpm summer is coming and this is no fun.

When I really paid attention today, I noticed it bogging down more in a steady cruise in first or second gear (city streets), 20-30 mph. It almost fluctuates a bit. Sounds like it's starving for fuel a bit.

On the Tolulene...will it help long term (cleansing) or is it only for the tank of fuel that has some in it? Will it help Andre's higher revving problem?

Goody,

You're in Winchester? Crimany, how many Indiana boys do we have on here now? I'm from Muncie/Selma (Wapahani ) My girlfriend went to Monroe Central - I didn't know they let you guys have computers, much less internet connections in Randolph county

J/K of course - my mom teaches @ Union elementary, and I live close to Losantville
I'm going to fire you an e-mail - next time I'm home, we'll have to meet up!

Yeah, Winchester - home of the fastest 1/2 mile speedway and cable Internet ! Shhh, dont' tell anyone, but I took my Si around the track once a few years ago. I told Charlie (owner) once he should build a road course inside... being a sprint/midget/supertruck style track, he didn't think it was a good idea...

It's surprising how many guys from this area have 944s. Did you know Bob Jenkins (ESPN) used to have a red '86 na? I drove it in '97 when he was selling it to make way for his Boxster. Good guy.

For sure, lemme know when you're this way... I emailed specifics...

The tolulene is available at most paint supply stores. it is just called tolulene. You can also use xylene.

Its used to thin paint.

Do not use turpentine!

Its essentially the same stuff you get in a 2oz bottle called "octane booster", only when you buy it by the gallon, its much, much cheaper. About $5-6 a gallon vs. $5-6 per tiny bottle.

Does it pass smog well? I found the flow meter adjustment makes a whole lot of difference if its off in the overall performance, especially at the low end. I had a friend of mine adjust mine while hooked up to an exhaust gas analyzer and it not only runs well but also passes california smog with flying colors (not anymore due to the 3 inch straight exhaust to a borla muffler).

Does the tolulene help clean the injectors, or is it temporary fun fix? If not, what's a good injector cleaner out there?
