Default 951 Project day, this Sunday

Going to be wrapping up a few projects on the car this Sunday.

Installing the momo steering wheel and quick release hub and getting the horn working, wiring the trailer hitch lights and some odds and ends.

Free beer and hang out?

Drop me a line, I'm in S. Denver.

Free beer! I'm in...oh wait..it would take me a few days just to drive there. I'm out! But I will enjoy a beer, and wait for you to post again on the results. I love working on the car for fun. I hate working on the car when somthing has broken.

Scott.

Yep, doing the steering wheel and getting the horn to work and bypassing the airbags. Did it on my last 951 5 years ago. Kinda fiddly...

Cool, be good to see you guys. If I have time I want to install my gauges as well. (Boost, oil temp and wideband A/F)

You can install a quick release hub and still have a functioning horn?

Yep, with the quick release I have. You just need to have long enough wires to reach through the hub and QR. Pull the horn button, pull off the spade connectors, then release the wheel.

Snowing now! Need to see if the roads are clear tomorrow so I can bring the car home...

Speaking of steering wheels. Any of you local guys have an extra cheap/free steering wheel you wouldn't mind donating to another 951 owner(not me, but a friend the desperately needs a wheel in his 86 but does not have extra cash to spend on it)
