Anyone have or tried these?

Our most requested item in years; a top-drawer driving glove. The supple deerskin leather increases tactile sensation ensuring a better grip on leather steering wheels, all while absorbing perspiration. Ultra-thin unlined black capeskin-weight leather stretches slightly to assure a snug fit. Classic construction, with traditional finger perforations, knuckle reliefs, double palm-seams, metal wrist snap and inset thumb. Red Porsche embroidery on each glove adds a final proof of pedigree and a dash of spirit. Imported

I almost bought some a couple of years ago for a winter glove, but then I realized that they probably weren't very warm. Am I wrong?

Got them as a gift. They run very large, so try them on. I've always worn driving gloves as my winter gloves unless I am shoveling snow or camping. It makes a huge difference when it's very cold out.

Driving gloves are so thin and the seam placement is really critical for the right fit. Any ones that feel good are the best to have. The Porsche ones seem well made and acceptably comfortable.

Thanks Dave,

Is there actually any improvement in steering interaction, compared with "bare hands"

How can there possibly be any benefit over actual skin (human) contact?

Ridiculous.

Besides how many formula 1 drivers (or any race car driver) have you seen use bare hands....there must be "some" benefit?

No benefit besides keeping my hands warm in winter. I drive without them unless it's really cold.

Also, Lexol for the steering wheel... Nice and grippy, never slippery.

Do not bring ArmourAll within 100 feet of your car. Took me 8 months to get all of that residue out of my 944.

They are a rip off, IMHO. They are twice as much because they read "PORSCHE" -- you can find some of the same quality without PORSCHE for half the price.

Me? I use "custom shortened" nomex flight gloves for driving gloves. Because I don't drive Argento, I fly Argento.

Matt, we Canucks have the same flight gloves as you guys, except ours are brown/brown instead of grey/green, and they only go to your wrist, as opposed to halfway to your elbow.

I have a set of both, but I'm trying to find the black/grey issue gloves. those are BOSS!

I like fingerless leather gloves - I don't care if I look butch, keeps my hands from sweating too much! Cost me $10.

My secret... I also use driving gloves, strictly when it's cold enough that my hands would freeze, like this AM (36???)

However, I don't use "driving" gloves - I use a pair of Mechanix gloves! Great, cheap, wonderful feel, thin enough to operate the radio, warm enough to keep my hands warm, and if I have trouble (or, more likely, a friend has trouble) I have a pair of gloves on hand to work on a car with!
