IMO 2.5 ID is probably way too large for an NA application where the best power is being made in the mid RPM range. Top end gains might not be apparent also if you haven't gone 2.5 all the way to the collector, so really your just losing velocity. Would be interesting to see some real dyno comparisons of stock vs. aftermarket "cat back" on the NA. My guess is engineers got it right the first time but if sound is all that matters this is just a moot point, don't mind my blabberying.

It does look like a nice piece.

I'm hoping that some na's with non-factory exhaust will show up at fest to help me decide on which system sounds best. Yes I'm only concerned with sound, and this b&b sounds nice. If I gain a little power, cool. But if I lose a litttle, its really no biggy.

Thanks! It's funny, my mechanic made the exact same remark the other day.

Sounds like a model A Ford at idle on a 944....

The first B&B on my 968 cracked. It also blew the seams out of the muffler.
Have pics if anyone doubts it.
The second B&B held up pretty good.

i think the dansk catback it the only real option for the NA. its full polished stainless,1.25 tubing, same tone as stock, slightly louder, fantastic fit and finish, oh and best of all it is $300...

seems like we agree a lot (on both our cars and trucks )

from what i have seen the B&B and SFR systems are nice, but after getting my dansk, i would pay MORE for a dansk than the other two.(but ironically it is what, almost 1/3rd the price?) i just seems to be the perfect fit for the car.

There is definitely some rattling at idle on my video with the cat back. But if you compare with my video with the stock exhaust, it's also present. It doesn't come from the exhaust and doesnt change with rpm. I think we can hear it more because it's filmed from underneath the car.

I will try to make a video with better sound.
