If your gonna put in a turbo engine, why not go with a 944 turbo engine? It would be an eisier swap, and there are many ways to gain hp.

 

I'm for the Audi 1.8 turbo swap, but into a regular 924 AND figure out some way to include Quattro. Now that would be a riot. Plus from what I read, the Audi I4 actually points in the right direction. That is to say it is not transversely mounted.
