Default cylinder head swap question

I've just put my '86 na back on the road after sitting for 5 years. With 136k miles, the engine is a bit anemic and I suspect it's time for a valve job. This was something i anticipated before letting it sleep for a while.

I do have a very good cylinder head from an '88 na with low miles on it. Just wondering if I can get away with swapping that one into the 86 without any trouble?

yes, they are entirely interchangeable.

for the record, even a freshly rebuilt 944 NA engine is a bit anemic

dme is different for 88 because the 88 engine had higher compression
