Default 3 bar regulator on n/a

i was wondering how this would make an n/a run? i'm having some problems with my engine sputtering. it used to happen pretty much all the time. until today i put a new 2.5 bar regulator on and now it runs a lot better but now instead of the sputtering starting at around 2k it goes a lot higher now without sputtering. based on that i was thinking that a 3 bar would give it the right amount of fuel at the higher rpms.

but i was also thinking it would make it run a lot richer, or maybe backfire because of the excess fuel.

any input is appreciated
thank you,
nick

You have other problems. (probably vacuum leak)

Fix whats wrong with your car instead of "making it work".

i replaced it with the stock unit. it got a lot better but not perfect. i then zip tied all the vacuum lines and cleaned the afm. since then it's been better than ever.

As suggested earlier start with checking all of the vacuum lines
If you do not have a vacuum diagram there are diagrams @
