Yeah, that road is fantastic! I much prefer it to the Coquihala, if I'm not in a rush. Lots of twisties and great scenery. Unfortunately I've never run that road in the Porsche so if the time was right I'd be up for a run out there. Unfortunately I have to find some time (and money) to fix my slightly noisy rod bearings. I'm hoping I can get it done before the first BBC but I'm not sure just yet. The closer that date comes the less likely it looks.

Oh well, there'll be lots of great runs to go on, I'm sure

Okay...let's definitely plan a 944 cruise asap! I was thinking about it on the weekend, why wait? Don't know what the weather is shaping up for this weekend, but I'd be in if there were others of you up for a drive (weather permitting).

I might be out at Whistler in a couple of weeks, but the worst part is having to drive a Taurus while I'm there. Wish I could drive my 951 cross country, but it's a bit of a haul.

Peckster, get out here fast! The skiing is AMAZING in Whistler right now.

Run of the year on Saturday 3/23/03 - Peak Chair opened at 12:30 after being closed for 3 days due to massive snow storm (330+cm base now). Temp around -8C, high wind 80+kph - but just as we got to the top, the skies cleared, sun came out - then they stopped loading any more chairs! 5 of us skied untracked Whistler Bowl, high traverse into West Cirque, down to Doom and Gloom and out to Grand Finale - all in boot top to thigh deep dry powder - over 3,000 vertical in that run.

Simply AMAZING in a resort the size of Whistler to get those tracks. Most impressive, looking back up to West Cirque at the top of Grande Finale, the slope slid right from the top and covered all our tracks! I watched a cornice block the size of a 356 roll down the face that we skied a few minutes before! Close call, but that's why patrol shut down the lifts for the day. As soon as we were out, the skies closed up again!

944S2NUT, are you in Van. or Vic? cause I thought you mentioned on another thread that you are a PCA editor. (oh) I'm sure you got the simple denominator of what one has in common <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" /> with the other three.
LETTERS ,thats all!! ( GT 2) as in 996. OK, I promises not to apply as a game show host! that really sucked and I could have done better.

Everyone complains about street racing on this forum, but hey no problem with driving a car at 100+ on a mountain road that someone else could be coming up as he is going down. Maybe he apexes and there is a family coming around the cornerin a minivan.
Maybe not.
Flame on Rennlisters.
