Post Power Steering Pump Rebuild

I know lots of you guys have had to fix your PS pump due to leaks. I don't know if anyone ever posted the part number for the reseal kit from Porsche. It has the large O-ring, the inner seals and the seal for the shaft. That's where mine was leaking from. It costs around $10, the part number is 928 347 921 01. It takes about a half hour to clean the pump up, take it apart, replace all the seals and then seal it up again.

That's not including the time to take it off the car and put it back on! It really does go quick.

I can second that... It does only take a half an hour.... Taking the pump off the car is the easiest part. I just did 2 pumps.
If you need a new banjo or washers for the pump I just added those parts to my site below.

Hey Travis,
Just did my pump with the above mentioned 4 seals, but had a bunch left over from the kit you sent. A large dia o ring, two small dia o-rings, and two half round pieces smaller than the other o rings. The end seal is not as deep as the original, so do the two small dia o rings go on the shaft? Is the recessed hex nut on the side of the pump supposed to come off so you can get at some of the stuff on the side of the pump that appears to have no moving parts?

Edit: never mind about the hex nut, saw an answer in another post.

Sorry for the questions, and if I ought to PM you in the future, lemme know, as I'll be attempting the rack in the next few weeks as well.

Other than that, things went fairly well, with the exception of me shooting the circlip across the garage and taking a half hour to find it...

Lol, I almost lost my circlip...
The rebuild on my pump took 20 minutes, that included time in the parts washer. Man that thing is easy to do!
It looks like a whole new pump now. You can read the little plate on the back and everything =)
