Post In 2-3 years from now...what type of Pcar would I get for $30000+ USD

Looking ahead to the future once I own the 968 outright (2-3 more years) I plan to add another Pcar to the stable. Based on depreciation rates I am wondering what Pcar models would be in my price range in about 2-3 years? Price range $30-35k US. I was hoping one of these, late model 928 5-speed, 2000+ Boxster S, or 95+ 993 C2 Coupe. I was looking on ebay and found a few Boxster S cars with "buy it now" prices of approx $37k+ and some 993 for about $40k. I am hoping that in 3 years the prices drop a bit (but if course I want them to inflate "after" I buy) to $30-35K

What do you guys think would be a good purchase and why? What are your opinions on this?
Should I keep the 968 once it is paid for, or sell and use the proceeds towards new Pcar?
I wonder what she will be worth in 2-3 years?

Thanks, appreciate all feedback!

A very nice 993, Early Boxster S, 964 Turbo 3.3, early 996 (closer to 35).

You have quite a selection in that range. I'de probably go for a 993 C2S in polar silver. I'de also keep the 968 as a driver at least; always good to have alternates.

As far as that 99 996 - that price sounds about right. They are depreciating big time, especially the early ones. For ~38k though, I'de go with a 993 C2S or C4S.

For me i was thinking a 964 was pretty good. Awesome power but a bit raw on the edges, a perfect Pcar

The 964 is a great car, but given the choice I'de take a 993 instead - especially a S (C2S or C4S).

The design of the 993 appears to me a little more streamlined and the engine is without some of the 964 quirks.

993 C2 is rated for 290/300bhp right?

S basically means "turbo look" than.

In all "practicality" is a Boxster S basically a 996 with a mid engine layout?

There is a large HP difference between the 996 (320hp) and Boxster S (258hp). As a result, the 996 is quite a bit quicker.

Those numbers are 2003. The early 996 was 3.4L with 296hp.

I'll be looking at the same situation hopefully, but in 4 years when I get out of college. I'm already trying to guess the market and see what kind of P-car I'll be driving <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />

Keep your eye out for the Boxster Coupe and Boxster Club Sport (lightweight) in the next couple of years.

So what pcar model interests you at this point?

Boxster Coupe and CS sound very interesting.
