Well then the Fest it is.....every year it is usually on the same weekend as the North American Soccer Nationals, but it appears this year I have a chance for redemption.

Hoping to bring my motorcoach and 944 for the fest, mostly because i am planning to drive in the morpca DE that weekend so why not come early for fest festivities. Maybe I rent out sleeping spots to others, to recoup for the 7mpg the sucker gets. ehhehehee Will have to see, as of now both the coach and 44 are under the knife as I am doing maint on darn near everything in my garage.
I'm just glad Dan has not caught on to that chrome spray paint stuff, darn car might look like it was chrome dipped or something.

Here's a link to a Picassa album with ~60 pictures w/ comments that tell the tale --> http://picasaweb.google.com/EricaAgr...eat=directlink
It was an awesome weekend! I can't say enough good things about Chump Car. The organizers are great, the racing was very competitive, clean, and interesting, and it was BS free. Tons of fun and very challenging!
The 944 n/a can definitely be a competitive car in the 24 hour events. The large gas tank and (relative) reliability is a huge plus. It's not the fastest car out there, but it can keep up a competitive pace and should be able to spend less time in the pits than the obvious japanese competitors.

picked up an extra set of wheels from the local 944 dismanteler guy and ordered some Falken tires for them. I dunno somehow having eight Key Lime wheels make me feel like we have an official race team.
Following the race i learned that our front strut had come loose- the insert lock nut had backed off. Also the nut holding the shift linkage to the moving part of the trans had come loose and we almost lost shifting all together. Installed a short shifter now and some swepco fluid. Much more to go- pics to come.

dan, all you need is like a legitimate pit crew to change with those extra wheel sets during racing and add fuel in under 30 seconds LOL.
