I am new to this forum, so forgive me if I say anything stupid.

I am currently looking to buy a 89 944 with auto trans. It would be my first Porsche, so any suggestions would be of great help. Thanks first.

It has 190K miles on it. Black with black leather. Cosmetically in Good condition. Mechanically unknown.

I did a little search in the forum and somebody mentioned that I should pay attention to the "automatic flex disc" to see whether it had been replaced. But honestly I have no idea what does it mean.

Haha, actually I saw your post, I remember someone gave you a range from $3500 to $4800. By the way, what do you end up with the 89 944?

 

im figuring out if i can buy it and convert/sell it or part it...

the 89 is somewhat special as it has the 2.7L engine, the only year it was offered. power isnt much more than a 2.5NA but the torque is higher, not to mention it is a very popular engine to use as a base for the turbo guys to make monsters with.
