amazing how a little bit of oil on the exhaust and resultant smoke can render the car completely undrivable isn't it

Once again, Thank you. I did notice that the length of the part three video was 9:44 long. Was that a coincidence or planed?

I'm glad I can help!

I'm a firm believer that demystifying something is the best way to learn it. With this belt job, there's a lot going on - but once you understand it, and understand why it was designed that way, you realize the operating parameters you can work with.

I recently had an argument on a 914 board - someone was looking at getting a 944, and all of these people jumped up to say, "Ohhh, don't to that!!! These cars always need timing belts, and it costs a fortune to have the belts done by a pro with the right tools!" I replied with, "It's not rocket science - I do it all the time." But, they didn't believe me.

Van
You are DA MAN !!
First the wheel bearings. Now the water pump. I was s@#$ing a brick about tackling this job. Now you have really made it possible to tackle it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to enlighten us ( knuckle heads )
I am sure it was very time consuming, but you must know how much we appreciate it.... Thanks Bud
All the very best

I don't foresee a clutch job in my future... But when I do one, I'll be sure to take video!

Anything else you want to see?

Rear wheel bearings, perhaps? I might have to change one of those.
