give his number to the Democratic national committee and the Republican national committee, with a note he wants to make a sizable contribution.

Seriously, has anyone given his info and links to a state's attorney office? or if he's crossing state lines, the FBI?

if you are local, he will not respond. He will send sites/email's that look like ebay, but are fake. If you get one, send the e-mail to spoof@ebay.com and they will verify.

I think he just posted it on Dallas CL. Does he use the same pictures in his listing? This one is a red turbo $4300, want to confirm it's him before I Flag.

I have flagged that ad literally hundreds of times, no joke. I've been looking nationally using Crazedlist to group all the CL searches for 944s, and it's hilarious to see that he has the same pics and same writeup in virtually every major city listing at least every other day across the entire 48, and even in Anchorage once or twice...but he always changes the tag line for some reason. Feel free to flag with impunity but it doesn't seem to slow him down!

Its good to get this loser of the web. Good luck with that though. Had a friend who tried to report a guy on another site and the site really did not care.

CL doesn't seem to care about large scale fraud...Damn shame...I can't count how many times I've flagged the ads.

We should just post up on this thread wherever he pops up and then everyone can flag it until it is pulled.

Default the scammer

Gents, at the moment the 4300 turbo is listed in the following places: Las vegas, houston, Topeka, Philly, Parkersburg, Lanford, Sacramento, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Dallas, Miami and Laredo. These are a few of the listings...

Default scam guy

I actually got a response.

"Hi,

The vehicle is still available for sale, price as stated in the ad $4,300. It's in perfect working order, no damages or scratches, it wasn't involved in any accidents. You will inspect the vehicle before the payment will be made. I temporarily moved in Chester MT, with my work and I have the vehicle with me. All shipping costs and insurance during transportation are included in the price because I won a promotion at DAS auto shippers (1 free shipping+$500). You will also receive all necessary documents in order to finalize the purchase. I am selling the vehicle under market value because I need to pay the bank or they will take my house.Email me back if you're interested and have further questions.
Specs: 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo /// VIN: WP0AA0953GN153890 /// 84,600 miles /// Leather seats /// Sunroof /// CD player /// Cruise control /// Power locks /// Power seats /// Power windows /// Air conditioning /// 1 Owner /// Clear Title /// Non-Smoker /// Garage kept.

Thanks, "

You gotta love the Montana connection and the winning and "need to pay the bank". but no car for sale on CL in Montana???

At this point can some one answer a couple of questions?
1. What does this poster get from doing this? (is it kinda like trolling with a bare hook? sucker born every minute?)
2. I have as well as others reported this to CL and they do nothing. Whereas I tried to list my 944 race in two (count em 1....2) cities and was REJECTED, faster than you can say REJE...
Can some one help?

That guy was actually selling a Questar telescope (high end, very expensive) last fall for an incredibly low price....too good to be true. I got the same wording word for word except for what was applicable to a telescope instead of a 944 Turbo. Stay away!

In a down turned economy the bottom feeders come out in droves to try to purchase cars at far below value. They are looking for someone desparate. Their own greed in not wanting to pay for anything brings out the scammers who will eventually hook one of these bottom feeders.
