Post NC golf outting?

Hey the post about the AZ golf outting got me thinking, do we have many golfers in the NC area that would like to get together?

I am always happy to make an excuse to golf, and there is plenty of good golf in the NC area (some fairly cheap).

Depending on where we could get the most people to go I would up up for having in in Winston, Charlotte, Raligh, (preferably not the coast because that drive is a bit much for one round of golf).

ian,

Hell yeah. I'm always up for some golf with some new people. As long as it's not a LONG ways away from me (4+ hours, maybe further I'm in college with no life), I'd love to play a round.

Golf sounds like fun, but I'll be out of town the next couple of weekends. Let me know who gets the best lap time! (eh, er, score)

If it's Winston, I suggest the Reynolds Course at Tanglewood. Much more interesting and somewhat shorter than the Championship course. Alot cheaper too. Pick a day guys.

I'm up for it - I love golf. But you say "not on the coast that is a bit of a drive for one round" but what they hey - I would have to come OVER from the coast so it's a drive anyway. Can we maybe do something in Raleigh? That's about 2.5 hours away from me, and 3 or so from Charlotte so the driving could be split up. Not to complain, but I'd love to go. We've got a membership at the CC in Jax and it's a brand new clubhouse and the greens are great right now... so if you all DID want to come over to the coast... I developed the CC's website so take a look: http://www.jccnc.com

Try to make it a course that isnt going to force me to sell my 951 to play. Keep us semi-broke college students mind!

The golf course I have in mind is Stone Wall out in germantown NC (good for the Porsche history plut it is a cheap course) It is farily close to winston so it is farily central, but I am open to other ideas.

I hope we get a good showing.......

Ian- have you PLAYED Stonewall?? Trust me, there are much better courses in the area. ALTHOUGH- the only time I ever broke 90 was at Stonewall, shot a legit 88. No mulligans, or other chicanery. There are also several good courses in the Greensboro area.
