You have to take the nose panel off? Mine just popped right off. It has some black plastic molded around the pings.

Don't know about the early cars, but mine would require removal of the nose panel as well.

Hmmm, early car? This was off a 1988 944S. Lol. It did the same thing on my 924S. Mine have some black plastic piece over the pins that like... make it squeeze in.

for what it's worth, I have a silver crest on my car. it looks awesome. a friend got it for me, I don't know the part number or where she did... but it looks great on silver or white cars.



Note: not my car pictured...

I love the look of the silver emblems. The ones I have seen though are usually about $100.

Jager also has silver for 22.50 but i'm not sure of the quality,doesn't look too promising
