Default Sequential 01E

This system look interesting. Made originally for Audis, but most likely can be adapted to Porsche 01E version as well.

Olli, how applicable do you think this would be for high powered 951s? I'm trying to figure out how this works. Would you have to change gearsets? Post this in the Turbo forum as well.

This system is made for high HP Audi's, so i suppose 951's won't be any issue. I asked from manufacturer if they are able to fabricate 016 version. Have not yet received any answer. They also make 996/997 versions.
Of course some "minor" body mods will be needed to get linkage work, perhaps a cable operated shifter will do:

I would not do this without going for straight cut gears.
If you use it with regular gears you still have to use the clutch, plus the gear change "engine" have to be set slower. That would make it pretty useless IMHO.

But with straight cut gears

Wouldn't straight cut be noisy?

Default SQS

Has anyone fitted one of these units to a porsche?

I have been investigating a sequntial shift fo my race car for some time. The only problem with this setup is that you need to use the clutch. Has the custom gearset been tested?

They're pretty popular in the 996/997 world.
