Default Please post some LM8U colour cars

I have LM8U aka. Platinum Metallic 944 from 1983. Its time to do some body work, and overspray and i need motivation to keep this colour. Beacuse it isnt a beautiful colour, but some piece of me wants to keep it original.

Maybe someone has same colour good looking car,or some pictures,so i can see, that this colour is good on a fine 944

Also one point to mention. Colour code is platinum metallic, but in my opinion car is looking more golden, beige.

Thank you .

I think my friend had this color, but he called it Champagne. His car was an 85.5. It was a long time ago but that car looked so gooood with 16" Borbet Type A wheels (considered low profile at the time) and tinted windows. For some reason I think I like the color more on a NA body than a Turbo/S2 body. Perhaps I haven't seen as good of an example as my friend's NA but I loved that car in that color with those wheels and tint.

Mine colours seems little more golden. Maybe its picture thing or some other variant of this tone. In a car documents its a Golden. On a picture it looks better than in real life.

Thanks for replies.

I think there were two colors that were very close, but one had a silver tone and the other a gold tone. If you saw the two cars separately you could mistake them for being the same color.

ernie9468 -es 944 look pretty. Its good enough to keep my colour

As my english isnt excellent,so is used google translate to write this:

Each code has a number of different options. For example, in Europe the car painted in colors mixed in Europe. American tone mixed with colored car in America. Mixing of the differences will be collected. I just do not know whether the American market for Porsches assembled in the USA or Europe? If the United States, the differences in logic.

All Porsche are assemble & painted in in Germany so if the color code is LM8U the paint color should be the same either US or ROW ---REST OF THE WORLD---If you are gone to do a repaint make sure that the people mixing the paint know's what they are doing ,Platinum Metz color paint is not easy to mixe ,good luck .
