Ebay torture
I wish this car would just hurry up and sell to someone so that I can start sleeping at night again

This one is listed as well;
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2410655424&category=6434" target="_blank">Ebay 1988 Turbo</a>
Here's his Auto trader ad;

Now I may get flamed for this review, but I looked at this car about a month ago and wasn't that impressed with it, based on it's asking price. Please keep in mind that I'm not knocking the car or the owner, I'm just offering my opinion of the car's condition.
issues
-The back side of the lower front fascia is broken in a number of places and shakes easily when jostled.
-There is no lower engine tray.
-The turbo side skirt (the little black bit's of plastic) on the LF side is missing and appears to have been torn away.
-Looking under the car I was left with the impression that it had been driven over a curb, or someone didn't know where any of the correct lift points were.
-The LF fender had obviously been repainted. There was primer over-spray where the fender bolts to the engine bay. (normally this wouldn't bother me, but during our phone conversation I had asked the owner if the car had ever been painted and he said, and I quote "I don't think so").
-The rear hatch seal is the worst I've ever seen.
-The carpet covering the rear storage area's have open holes where 6x9 speaker's used to be. The cover's themselves are basically ruined (probably by rain water seeping in. The "turbo" script rear carpet is covering the damaged area.
-The Power rear hatch cable is broken.
-There was a dampness where the intake manifold meets the engine block. While I thought it may be just age and road grime, I also thought it could've been a gasket or injector issue.
On the upside, the owner had plenty of maintenance receipts for the car from a very reputable shop here in town. If your interested in this car, now you have a little more information to work with before bidding on it.

Yeah, I saw that one on E-Bay last night too. Looks a little rough around the edges I thought, but I'm not into all those modifications (at least at this point... yet?!?)

But seriously, That's looks like a good price for that 951. I was looking up in Excellence ( I think) and I read that the 951's are going up in price, especially, the post 87's. No mention about the mileage, but it did say that an very good condition 88' 951 is worth around 11,500. At least that's what I remember. I think they were a little off on the specs though. stock 88 951, 220 hp, 0-60 5.7, top speed 163? Seems a little off to me.

Damn, Micah.
Now I will suffer through tortured sleep. I think that 86 looks sweeet. Love the interior--sport seats!, love the exterior color, and the colored Fuchs are icing on the cake--she is a beaut!
