light == fast. I don't see why having a lighter car is only something that you would want for a "track car"

uh... 80 shot of NOS in your 944 would probably be a bad thing.

Been there, done that. Absolutely no problem at all. Just a whole lot of fun per $.

I find that the general opinion on the board is lighter car by removing all luxury and uneeded items, ie stereo, rear seats, carpeting, ect. Great for a track car but as a daily driver? Exterior may look good, but a stripped and gutted interior? Not my cup of tea. Oh, and just the stereo system alone weights over 220LBS.

So Skip,

What kind of numbers did you get from the Dyno? Also, do you have any recordings of your car so we could hear the exhaust...?

I obviously need to spend some more money to try and keep up...

Currently working on a custom Carbon Fiber cold air box for the car--I'll let you know how that turns out. Also, the winter project for the car is to re-paint the calipers (wish I could anodize them gold)-probably go with dull aluminum. At that time it will get 2 new rotors on the front, and a complete fluid change.

I think the first things that will get done to my US spec car when I get it over here is get some racing seats, a harness bar, and harnesses. Also I want to get rid of the back seat and find matching carpet. Maybe embroidered "Porsche" or "944". I saw a 911 RS at the track with the carpeted rear seat area and it just said RS. I looked really nice.

143HP/158TQ (Dynojet, SAE corrected)

No sounds - trust me - it's LOUD, OBNOXIOUS, and ANNOYING. But hey, it's a racey car.

BTW, if anyone's keeping track - I think marksportcts won this battle. Mine eyes have seen the fury Cockpit looks like a jet fighter - sounds like one too. Even though he can no longer claim na
