Post Who's got the most Mods on their N/A

I'm obsessed with modifying my 86 944 N/A...I have only done a few things so far (Rims, K&N, Throttle Cam) but there is so much more I want to do (suspension, MAF, supercharger (dreaming) but it's too freakin' expensive. And even after it's done I probably still won't be satisfied. It's like a disease.

Which N/A owner has the most mods on their car and roughly how much did it cost?

Well I have an S2 not an NA, but it's basically the same in that it can't be easily modified for more power. That's just something you kind of have to accept by having one of the normally aspirated 944's unless you wanna spend big $$. I kind of like that because it means I won't be spending a lot on it, besides on like suspension stuff to refine the car more and more as opposed to adding more and more power, bigger turbos, and all kinds of other crazy stuff I would do if I had a 951...

My S2 is plenty quick for me most times on the street..you'd always like more power but I know it's pretty maxed right where it's at. Besides if I ever need to feel insane accelleration I just go beg my dad to drive his 993TT

It's always possible to get more power..just with NA engines it's way too expensive for so little...kind of like the people I know who spend $700 on an exaust setup for their Honda that gave them 6 hp at the wheels..If you've got the money go for it..if not, the turbo cars may be the more logical choice.

I saw a previous post with an engine for about $3200. I haven't worked up the nerve to call him yet though. Need to soften up the wife first.

3200.. wow.. thats pretty reasonable actually. For me it's a matter of getting the suspension, drive train, exhaust system, clutch etc. into proper shape .. :

85.5 944 with a fiberglass turbo front end. Koni sports both front and rear. 26.8mm front swaybar. Alpine, mb quart and mtx stereo system. Engine mods consist of shaved, ported and polished head. Ported intake manifold. Bored throttle body. Custom ground cam and 88 style pistons. Bursch header with custom exhaust system.
Hoping to add a MAF system later this year but have a few bils to pay off after being unemployed for the last 6 months.

I also have an 86 N/A. The engine has a 928 head that is port and polished and shaved, webcam cam, accusump (can't get it to work right), throttle cam, chip, MSD ignition, full exhaust (header, test pipe, to a glasspack, to a gutted muffler), and intake. Suspension I have KONI yellows all around with Weltmeister springs, and 17" C2 Cup Rims. Other stuff is short shift kit, rollbar, Corbeau seats, and a buch of other stuff that I can't remember at the time.
The sad part is that it's for sale $7500. I'm moving to the dark side (951).

Mine is stock, but I have been thinking about adding one of those "Type R" badges and a 3 foot tall spoiler, that should give it at least a 100+ extra horses.

Hey Dave120, your car technically falls into the catagory of NA since it is Naturally Aspirated (as opposed to forced induction like a turbo or super charger).
