Don't you mean open to all models? If its open to all makes, its not really a Porsche club.

I am starting a similiar club here in Nebraska. We meaning "me and myself"(hav'nt got "I" signed up yet), hope to sign up another 2 members by 2012. In our recruiting drive to reach our goals we are thinking about making an excemption for any Chevy Luv pickup drivers that may be still around. Has anyone spotted any Luv's on the road in the last 15 years? LOL... Seriously though Kev944, I wish I lived in the area so I could join up.

Just curious, but isn't there already a PCA Region you can join there? As a suggestion, if they aren't doing the kinds of activities you want to do then get involved and make a change. These organizations are generally all volunteer and would welcome any help and enthusiasm you can bring.

It's been my experience with my local Region (where I help with web/email and DE organization) that the exec is always looking for new blood to bring new ideas and help with the work load. It's a bit cliched, but the club is what you make of it.

Good luck.

There is a very strong 928 group in the DFW area. They are very welcoming to any Porsche guys so you might look them up.

I'll second the recommendation for joining the PCA. Shoot, it's $42 a year and you get a great monthly magazine. But the best part is when you get invoved. Porsche members run the spectrum from average Joe's like us with our older 944s to serious collectors. My experience, in my region at least, has been nothing short of spectacular. So join the PCA and get involved!

You've got one of the best PCA regions in the country right in your back yard...

I'll second that... the Maverick Region is great and chock full of driving events.

The local 928 owners are very active too. A few of us 944 guys from Rennlist met up with them for breakfast in Arlington a couple of weekends ago.
