Post What's this rattling noise?

Hey guys, my car has a rattling noise whenever I give it gas, it doesn't matter if its in gear or neutral, the sound is there. I can tell the sound is up front in the engine, but can't pinpoint it. Does anybody know what this might be? It goes in the shop Friday for a t-belt tension, would that fix it?

Also, it wants to stumble when cold, like when I first start it up in the morning. I have to let it run 1-2 minutes and give it a few quick revs to get it going. Is this normal?

you can tell its in the front of the engine itself or up front towards the engine compartment... sounds like it could be a throw-out bearing.

good luck!

The sound comes from the engine compartment, not exactly sure where at in the engine compartment. The car runs great and pulls strong once warmed up.
How much would it cost to have the throw-out bearing replaced?
Thanks
