New Gauge Faces are in. (PICS)
This was a 1.5 hour install and it gave me a chance to clean in all the cracks of the dash I dont normally have access to. The hardest part was not to mess up the tiny delicate needle posts.
Key TIP:
After you get the cluster out go wash your hands. AND...
Inspect the inside of the cluster before you put all 9 screws back in when your done. Shake the cluster so if any little peices of grit or whatever land on the inside of your instrument glass you will have to take it apart to get it out.

Great job in the install i think it look very good.
I am a fan of white gauges, and those in paticular because they don't have that black space for the idiot lights.
Here is a question for everybody. If I am running an aftermarket boost gague could I use the gauge kits for a regular 944 and someone remove the factory gague?
just a thought

Despite popular claims,
a customer at Anderson Motor Works who has a 87 black turbo, had a set of gauges that go up to 180 and also have the boost gauge. i had heard alot of people talking about they cannot be found, but he had them. he said they were bought from a company in LA but he didnt know the name.

Hey we're making progress! All I need now to dive into purchasing a set of these guage-faces is:
- 200mph speedo
- Kilometers/hr as well (looks too plain without them)
- boost-gauge
Shaun, please track down the guys that supplied your customer's gauge-faces, there's even a finder's fee involved for ya!

Thanks a bunch... I love doing this kind of work on my car. I hate fixing things like fuel lines and brakes, you get sooo dirty... lol.

I got them on ebay from the guy that always has an auction up there. 40 bucks. They are high quality aluminum backed gauge faces. 100% happy with the purchase.

Nah not translucent they are metal backed. Although the fuel and oil gauges have some see thru parts that light up.
