I cut my cat off and routed a pipe with a small fart can muffler, the wastegate goes straight to atmosphere and sounds like complete *** if i replace the waste gate will it sound a little bit cleaner? it sounds like someone put loose nuts in a coffee can a shook it up. only when im at full boost though.

Doesn't really matter what type of wastegate... When they dump to atmosphere they all sound like crap, IMO.
Re-route it back into the exhaust.

haha, ill just put another glass pack on it. oh by the way thrush glass pack no cat straight pipes actually sounds good. 2 Porsche techs said "so you went with borla?" the other guessed magnaflow. i pAID 20 BUCKS FOR A 2.5 INCH GLASSPACK damn cheap for good sound

i thought it was going to sound like total crap, but i didnt care i just needed to kick the cat , and i didn t want straight pipes cause that sounds bad, i think. I was walking in advanced to get weather stripping sealer and saw them, a big cage filled with red glass packs. I asked the guy how much they were thinking theyd be 40-50 bucks. He said 20 and i was sold. Sawzall'd the cat off (that was a pain due to the double pipe the cat slips into) went through 3 layers. welded my glass pack on where the cat would have been, it looks great under there and fits perfect. BUT my damn wastegate sounds like a fart.
