Wachuko, you're incorrect. US coupes outsold US cabs slightly, and worldwide coupes way outsold cabs-around 6500 to 4600, not counting CS and the Turbo S and RS, which were all coupes of course.

The cabs, on the other hand, exchange hands more often... since most of the cars I found, while searching Traderonline for a coupe, were cabs...

Sounds better Damian? <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

I just didn't want anyone thinking my new car was more common than my old!! (Although we've only located a handful of speed yellow cars, cabs or coupes, in the US).

Why is it that most Porsche diehards dislike the cabrio forms of the same vehicles? I know they're not as potent in pure race form but for street use I cannot think of a better way to combine the best of both worlds (Porsche style with 95% of the performance)

Hmm correction. cabriolet's are achived on stock a .01 - .02 skid pad increase and a 1-2ft shorter braking distance. Lets also remember in 1990 Steve Kelvin defended his champinonship in the PCGB racing championship in a 944s2 cabriolet against a field of all coupes. It is belived that the reason the cabriolet stock has these advantages because its center of gravity is lower then that of the coupe.

I dont dislike the cabs, I just think if I saw a 968 comming the other way, a coupe would "turn my head" more than a cab. I like the cab, just like the coupe more.

I've been thinking about what Luis said in another post and I know my wife loves convertables. . . just thinking ahead <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
