88 Turbo S
#16
Yes Adrial, mine had the skinny 16mm bar. All I needed was a bolt-on set of 968 M030 front/rear bars and the suspension is very capable (and adjustable) even for the track.
I bought my '89 from the original owner last Sept with 75k miles - Guards red , black interior w/rare sport seats.
Alas, it sits in the garage awaiting the next track day, since it's too conspicuous (to cops) and clean to drive around here.

Adrial-
I've never heard that about some '89's having a smaller rear sway- do you know why they did this? Also, you said "most" of them... Do you have any actual #'s or any idea what the actual percentage is, OR, at what VIN# they started? That's strange IMO, especially since they went to beefier sways for the 968 M030 AND stiffer rear rates via the helpers- Porsche must have just experimented w/lot of different things...
Gary- Sport seats huh? That IS nice! I wish mine had those- that's another thing I never understood- the fact that Sport seats were SOOOO rare in the Turbo S/89's....
