if you have one left, just gently pry the pressure plate out till the last bolt snaps off! I usually drill them if there are muliple though- it is always the last one.

With a cobalt drill bit, you'll be surprised how quick and easy it is to drill off the head.

Didn't get back out to the car tonight.
Tomorrow night is clear. Will attack the bolt then.

Heh. I bought a set of these off ebay a couple of years ago, thinking "I bet those will come in handy". Didn't actually need to use them until a few days ago for the first time. Worked like a charm.

One of those tools you don't need very often, but when you need it, you really need it.

Unfortunately, those will not work on the recessed PP bolts.

Drill it and pry at the pressure plate. It will come off guaranteed! Dont wait!

But the pp bolts holes are fully counterbored IIRC. Was there room to get this around the bolthead?

Yes. PP bolts are countersunk.
Going to try drilling it tonight.
