Tool P 9259 to remove tamper proof bolts
I spent time with my airbag system last night and cant get rid of code "35" Ignition capacitor 1: contact resistance too high. I delete the error codes. Turn on the car and it is good for about a minute or so and then the light comes back on with the same error code. (Using durametric tool to read/reset codes)
So far I have tried unplugging cleaning and replugging all connectors except the driver airbag. I will try the drivers airbag tonight but it is unlikely that will solve my issue. All documentation on that error says change controller.
I have another controller and am going to swap it in. I would prefer not to spend hours with a mini vice grip fighting with the tamper proof nut that holds the control unit in.
Anyone know if the P 9259 tool to remove the tamper proof nut holding the airbag control unit in place can be purchased?
thanks

Its not a standard/generic security fastener. You will either need to try to source the actual porsche tool (or possibly common with another auto maker - VW, etc). Having the actual tool part number is half the battle. Call a dealer and ask them to price it. Or use a vise grip to get them off.
