I'm sure there are a few shop owners out here on this forum. I'm interested in starting a small shop here in the Denver Metro.
I'm trying to figure out if the niche market is capable of supporting a business such as this. I've seen 2 or 3 European Auto car Stores down on Broadway and around Denver, they to my knowledge don't really do anything other than sell the cars. How would you go about researching the market???
What would a small startup type of business require in cash to make work??? We would probably just start as kind of a sales shop and then work towards modifying cars. We wouldn't really need at first anything other than a couple of cars, and a place to put them. We can do the rest, we've got tools, and know how, and MOTIVATION. The biggest part.
My brother and I are interested in VW's and Porsche's and really would like to make some money while playing with the cars.
Any Help would be appreciated. I'm working through the SBA site right now. But I'd like to hear from someone that has already done this.
