I did. I believe I am going to keep it. Even though it does take a bit away from bottom end starting. Then again I was not looking for a drag car anyway. My car has great pull you can ask Riff here on the board he has ridden in it after some of the up grades. I will say that a stock N/A is slightly under powered for this tranny but if you have some time and money you can push this up enough to really get a chance to use it. Getting on the highway is a whole new bag. Third gear will hit 90 NP. Some say third on these trannys will hit 105 not sure about that. I would look at your upgrading budget before switching over because you will want to squeeze out some hp from the motor to be happy.

Thanks for your input, I just end up with a tranny left over from my 951, and I have another 85 944, I was just wondering if it was a smart thing to do.
