Default 1983 944 headlight switch removal.

Does anyone know the procedure for removing the headlight switch on a 1983 Porsche 944?

the switch has little plastic tabs that hold it into the plastic trim piece, you need to squeeze the tabs. either you can reach up under the dash and do it, or you can try to remove the trim piece itself from the dash. the trim piece has the same type of little tabs, 2 on each side, that you can squish with a small screwdriver, but be gentle as prying too hard can mark your dash

easiest thing to do besides prying out the trim piece would be to remove the gauges (remove the wheel and the turn signal, the cluster has 2 screws holding it in) and then just reach to it

Huh? The headlight switch pops right out from behind the dash. No need to remove the wheel, turn signal, or cluster.
