Default Panel Beaters: Is this fixable?

A very naughty 15 year old did this tonight . His dreams of a car at 16 have become very, very remote. There is no way the car is worth putting another quarter panel on. What say ye panel beaters? Can a decent job be done here?

Thats one of the worst places to hit on these cars. I know form experience. Im sure you could knock it out some, but it really depends on your experience/skill level with auto body work.

give the kid to the shop as payment
\

how the heck did he even do that? good thing is it looks to be all on one plane of metal (not through the crease) and that section is accessible pretty easily. i think that could be repairable.

or you could use this as an excuse to go full widebody, you needed it anyways.

it's pretty ugly... However yes. this could be fixed.

My suggestion: Start from the back (near taillight)and try to pop it out.. Fix a dent in the reverse order that it happend. The first part that was hit, should be the last part you try to fix. -I hope that makes sense-

Pop as much of it out as you can -you should be able to get right inside the fender- use a hammer and a piece of wood to work the deeper dents out.

You will need to bondo, spot fill, and paint most likely... Not a clean enough dent to just pop out; sadly...

well good luck, and put the boy to work -slave-

Oh no my skill level is about zero. I meant in capable hands. The one thing that I suspect will help is that the contour line between the upper fender and flare is not bent as far as I can tell. I'm guessing that is more/less the point of no return.

He apparently back into a pole so damage went from rear forwards.

Besides paying for getting it fixed, I'm going to think about some other forms of punishment... I think maybe his first car is going to be something very uncool. Suggestions?

oh man.... Did your kid steal the car? Or did you let him drive it??

"The pole came out of no where!!"

Well with what you said, if you can pop out the dent starting at the tire, the rest should actually pop back out without alot of trouble...

It is one of those: "You can't make it worse" type of times... I bet you could pop it out, and make it look "ok", mostly meaning your paint won't be cracked, and the dent will be only a few lines...

Remember, even though you have zero skill, you really can't make it worse....

BUT: A decent shop will be able to fix this panel... It will not be inexpensive though

Just left him at home alone for a couple hours and didn't believe he'd do something so stupid. He said the glass fogged up so he couldn't see.. I'll get a quote or two and see..
