Post Park Brake upgrade...pics

Maybe it's me, but the park brake lever on early cars just seems out of place.

While digging through my local salvage yard for a new front swaybar-I found this Brake lever from an '86. Well worth the $25, and hour to clean/grease/install/adjust. Here's a pic, and an overall pic of my '83...

It looks like I would catch my leg getting in and out.

Just wondering.

I don't know if any Porsche brake will work. It would have been really cool to put one of the 928 handles in it that "release" even when the brake is on. I kind of did it on the spur of the moment-wasn't even looking for it. Red9four4-cooool Fiberworks nose on your Avatar-is that your car? That is a future possibility for me-I also want to do Euro gauges.

Zehnd-the back of my thigh hits it on exit-but it's not so bad. I'm 6'4"-and as long as I'm not hitting my HEAD-everything's gonna be alright...

Yes, it does - and this was one of my first complaints with the car. When used as daily commuter, I wear cuffed slacks that would catch on it every time I exited. You get used to moving around it - and, making sure it's in good adjustment (tight, should never get more than 4 clicks) will help a bunch!

Living room-heh. That sounds like my college days, only it was my friends "Chopper" motorcycle in pieces in the living room.
