87'-944 Clutch Problem / Question.
hey guys..
I have a well maintained 1987 944 N/A with 102K miles with the last clutch replacement at 66k miles.
My problem:
In the last week I have noticed that the car's engagement/friction point for the cluth has been engaging towards the top of the pedal travel point. IE: I will have the clutch pedal almost disengaged when the clutch seems to grip well.
Also, it doesnt seem to be all the grippy as it used to be when engaging. In the morning too when I start up the car and release the clutch in netural, I hear a rattling noise.
Are these the signs of a clutch failure? This is my first manual tranny car, so i can only go by what Ive been told and not experience.
Thanks!

bump for question...
the clutch petal also seems to be much softer and less springy than it usually is, I can definatly feel a major difference that is rapidly worsening in the car.
Should I be driving it with a clutch that is starting to slip, I have plans to take it in to a mechanic by the end of next week...
