This started on another thread and I wanted to post it to its own so we could get some more people intrested.
How aobut an Orlando gtg this saturday? Someone intrested that lives in the orlando area scope out a good meeting place for us.

 

I don't know about you guys, but somewhere near UCF would be the best place I think. You wouldn't really have to worry about your cars, especially if you did it in Oviedo (my home town). You could hit up that [relatively] new wing place (I forget the name) across from the Oviedo Mall, plenty of parking, nice area.

Just a thought from a former o-towner.

Hmm one week, I will be going back to daytona. Ohh well maybe i'll get to meet everyone someother time. Actually depending on how it goes ill come back Sat night.

 

I am up for it no matter what but if someone in the orlando/ucf area would like to put it together (place, time, directions) I think it might work out a little better.
Aslo if anyone is from the miami/ft.lauderdale area and going up we could meet up and leave together. radar detector and a 2 hour turnpike trip.... woo hoo. I'd feel better making the trip along side other 44's rather than just running up alone.

 

the run from daytona is about the same as the run from ft.lauderdale...

 

What type of place are we interested in?There is a Sonic drive in on RT. 436 a few miles North of Orlando International Airport,it is in front of a strip mall with good parking.Or if people are interested in beer maybe meet at Hooters on Lake Underhill,this is a new place across from Lockheed Martin,this is a fairly quiet area and the Hooters parking lot is good sized.I am open to suggestions from any one else in Orlando.We do not have to meet at a restaurant,but I think it is nice to have some food and drinks to help with the atmosphere.Whats everyone think? <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

 

Ok people how about next friday?? Jaime had stated that he was willing to have everyone meet at his house, I think that might be better( if he agrees) considering we wont be in a public place and it will be more relaxed. Everyone could help out and bring some drinks or snacks. If anyone would like to do this at my house that would be ok also(on friday that is)

Friday or Saturday works for me also. Hooters does sound a good place to meet, or my place if that is better with you guys. My house is actually very close to the Hooters in Lakeunderhill Road.

 

Friday night would work for me as well. Let me know when and where to meet. Hooters would always be a good place, as long as the group is all guys. We don't want to offend any ladies that might potentially attend.

 

The reason I suggested Hooters is that it is easy to find,we can have some beer and wings and the parking lot is good sized.I would hope men and women would want to join in.Its not a strip club,just good looking women in shorts and tee shirts,no different than going to the beach.The intent here is to get together and maybe start a friendship with fellow Porschephiles.If someone else has a better idea as to where to meet,thats fine lets here it.I am sure we are all open minded enough to consider anyplace.I would hope this is just a start to a longer process where we can grow and just have a good time and learn from others,kind of like Rennlist. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

OK, Friday it is. The hooters sounds good but lets post some directions. Maybe an address so we can mapquest it. Lets decide on a time. I can make it around 8 to be safe. (cant get out of here untill around 5ish) If anyone else is going from down here (miami/ft.lauderdale/WPB) let me know and maybe we can meet someplace and leave at the same time.
