Finished the gauges last night. When I turned them on, I noticed they were off by a hair (idiot lights don't line up from underneath). It's not much, but I tend to be a perfectionist. Otherwise, they're great! Just took her for a spin through Starved Rock State Park (beautiful area on the Illinois river, lots of curves and bluffs
). The lights were so bright I had to turn them down! The one disadvantage is that you cannot read the odometers. Since mine don't work, that's not a problem <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />
Overall, well worth $25. A neat mod and the white face was just what I wanted. Now to get that dash kit jrock just got.....

It's very satisfying and rewarding doing these kind of things yourself don't you think?! My airbag light had been on after I worked on my instruments (hence a disarmed unit). Got on line here, figured out where the test plug was, stuck a wire in and grounded it a few times and voila...all better! And to think the dealer wanted $85 for 30 seconds of work. Smart move Michelle picking up a spare car for parts by the way. Wish I had space to do same. Enjoy

I am very interested in these indiglo lights also, but being that I am pretty much A TOTAL NOVICE at doing anything to cars ( I know, sad, huh?), I am not sure I wanted to take on this job. With my luck I would ruin a perfectly good instrument panel. So yes, I am the dumbass
that you see in the automotive store/garage paying the guy a ton of money to do simple things that I wish I knew how to do.
Ok, off the topic. So you think the gauges are worth it?
Thanks

I like'em a lot. They definitely take care of the anemic lighting problem! I was willing to tackle this project b/c of the parts car I got, it has the instrument panel in it and if I messed mine up I had a backup. Like I said in a previous post, it didn't quite line up right, but it still looks good. I will say that I would have preferred the reverse indiglo if I had had the $. Can't beat $25!

The reverse indiglos look a lot better at night...but in the daytime, they make the instrument cluster look like it was made by Fisher Price.
So looks like the regular indiglos are the way to go.
