Post Who was offering the PS Rack re-seal kit??

Yesterday I noticed that my PS rack is starting to leak very slightly. Does anyone remember who was offering that PS reseal kit? I think I will need it soon. Also does anyone know how hard it is to change everything out??

I have 70 of the exact same reseal kits that Transtec sells. I will sell them for $25 each shipped to your door. Send me an email instead of posting here please.

I dont know about the transtech seals but mine are all OEM, plus you get all the support you could ever want when you run into problems on the install. I spent half a day once with someone, taking pictures and writing emails back and forth while he was doing the reseal. In that case, thats what it took for him to see how it needed to be done, so thats what I did.
If you dont mind using the transtech seals and you know what your doing, by all means thats the better value but if you think your going to need some help along the way, I wouldn't go that rout.

Michael...Well, you'll need some determination; For me, it was my first automotive rack (have done many other aircraft actuators). The lower tower seal is difficult to get out and that has been talked about in previous posts. The tower casting is soft which to me is the weakest part of the ZF design. You may have to deal with that (but there are ways). Otherwise its pretty much a take-it-apart-and-put-it-back-together kind of thing. The kit I got was mostly german, can't say that is necessarily a good thing though. And there was one wrong size O-ring included. Deals do come up on Ebay sometimes, I saw what appeared to be a good one go for 61$ last week.

Getting ready to fix a leak on my PS rack next time out. I've spent time the past few months tracking down information. I've set up a document with what i've collected. If you want let me know, I'll mail it to you.
