OK- no fishing -Since I'm Frenche & some of the words & expression in the Shakspear language is out of reach for me the word afterthougth migth have been the wrong one to use,but tifo you know as much as me that Callaway did developed turbo charge kit for Porsche & the one he put in the 83-944 "migth & I repeat migth" be the ancestor of what you find in the 951 today. And I do understand what your saying. Take care

you want to have a less expensive product to put out to gauge interest, yes you may be developing another version on the side but you dont want to release it too soon in case the original product fails. otherwise you lose alot more money due to production costs.

I have no idea how my MB's turbo still blows at all with 290k miles on it. Well built I guess.
Companies put out turbos after the NAs mainly for marketing. I guess it doesn't hurt to gain a few years' experience about a car in NA form before you squeeze its *****.
I didn't know the Callaway pistons were just machined NA pistons - in that case, yes, 951 pistons are obviously better.
I for one would love to see more pics from whoever wants to post them.

i am willing to bet the turbo 944 project at the porsche skunkworks was seven projects later than the original 944. I wonder if the new dash for the 944 was before or after the turbo project?
