Default Anybody east LA/inland empire have 944 belt tools?

Realized my balance belt is a tooth or two off and I would like to take care of it asap. I was going to get the tools Tuesday night but if someone local has them on hand it could save my dad the trip up here and would get me back on the road sooner

I already have the belt covers off, I'd only need the tools for a few minutes. I'll pay for your gas and a sandwich or something. I am in Riverside. Looking for the "custom" thin wrench for the balance shaft tensioner and the BS spanner tool.

I will quite possibly be running through there VERY early Tuesday morning (3 -5am). If I go down there, I'll be returning to Las Vegas Wednesday afternoon/night. You can keep the tools for nearly 2 days.

and, what is the spanner tool?

the spanner is the thing that has two pins on it and a hole in the middle that hold the balance sprockets still while you torque the bolts down

maybe ill just wait for my dad on tuesday

OH ok .... I just move the sprockets by hand when the belt is loose, but I have that tool if you need it.

Do you have to remove the sprockets off of the balance shafts?

I'll bring my whole kit if you want, just let me know.

dont need to remove the sprockets, just adjust them so they are aligned with eachother and with the crank.

Then you don't need the pin wrench. Even the thin wrench is optional (but nice to have).

I just set the balance shafts on my S2 this afternoon... krikit tension gauge is probably my favourite "cheap" tool.
