Post dirty car pics for people who care

These are some pictures of my car. It is a little dirty. The 951 on the jack stands is CurlyDE's. It is in the middle of having the water pump replaced. That started out being a weekend project and is going on six weeeks of being out of commision.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that my car has the turn signals on the behind the front tire as well as the one on the front bumper. Is that stock for a German market 951 or did the PO change it?

Sorry for the long post.

Why is it I have noticed that some 944's have an additional lock assembly on the rear quarter panel next to the door seam?

That additional lock assembly is the factory alarm, which is activated by turning a separate key.

kgain968,

the lock assembly would be for the alarm system.

I have the turn signals like that on mine but they are set a little higher on the fender and are definatly after market. They say hella right on them. I love them. Especialy on the white.

Thanks for the info guys, do all 944/951 have this? Or was it optional, seems they don't all have the assembly. I like the euro rear bumper.

You'd think they could have incorporated the alarm system arming into the standard lock assembly.

I think that the alarm is an option. The other 951 in my pics does not have one. I don't know why they didn't incorporate it into the original key. It takes a seperate key and everything.
