After taking my cover back off today, I think I figured out what went wrong. There's a pretty good build up of oily gunk at the bottom, and the belt did feel pretty slimy, but it looked like it was in good shape. I'm guessing the oil just rotted it until it broke, and then I tore it apart trying to get what was left out of there. So it looks like I also have front seals to get done.

How much would new belts, rollers, H2O pump, and seals run me at a shop? I only have about $900 saved up right now, and can't really afford to spend a butt load right away.
