Post Super Suspension Weekend ?s

This weekend I am planning on doing a fair amount of suspension work. Specifically, Koni yellows all around, new ball joints, A-arm bushings, and upper front strut mounts. Does anyone have any tips on any of these items? Things to do first, things to avoid doing? Any help would be appriciated.

Also, i plan on getting an alignment when I'm finished. But i'm still waiting on my new tie rods to be delivered. Since i daily drive the car, i was thinking i could get a cheap alignment done, Pep boys?, and then a better one done when i get the tie rods installed. Will pep boys do a good enough job? Any tips on getting the car aligned myself so i don't ruin anything driving it to Pep boys? Any good recommendations for alignment shops in the Belleville, NJ and surrounding areas?

Finally, in the future i plan on upgrading my swaybars. For an early 944 with basically stock suspension(expect koni yellows) would the 968 M030 bars be too big? Would a set of Turbo S sway bars be the best way to go? I'm worried that the 968 bars are sized for a much different(heavier, different springs, different wheels) car than mine and would create handling problems. I've heard that too stiff of a sway bar can lift the inside wheel during hard cornering.

I drive the car everyday, but won't mind a harsh ride. I'm looking to maximize the car for PCA autocross in the stock class. Which means i can't touch springs or torsion bars, but sway bars and shocks are anything goes.

Back to making it look like I'm doing work. <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" /> TIA
